New: Milestone subtasks and notes! Now you can break down your big project goal into milestones, then divide a milestone into small steps with the new Milestone Checklist feature. You can also add notes to individual milestones and automatically sort them however you like to keep your projects neat and organized.
Some of you have asked for the option to log your progress with more precision than 5% increments, like 33% or 67%. Now you can tap the current percentage and type any number you want.
Oh, and any number that you're editing throughout the app is now highlighted so you don't have to delete the old one then type the new one.
We also added a hide keyboard button to keep the screen clutter-free when reading long notes.
Lots of little improvements and fixes in this one too. Hope you're having a great start to 2024!

Fix for the Log Target or Average Tracker feature in Shortcuts, updated the Project tracker example with the new design changes, and improved long-press menu icons.
Last update: Lots of improvements to get ready for the new year...and a big new update to the Project tracker! Small widgets are interactive now too, added new app icon badge setting, improved milestone pace tracking and polished the Project tracker UI in preparation for the new feature in development. The Archived filter now defaults to alphabetical sorting to make archived trackers easier to find. Improved reordering trackers, fixed a caching issue with per log averages, solved a translation error and tweaked some formulas. Can't wait to release Strides 16.0!

NEW: Group by Tag, Sorting and improved Trends Report!
1. Group by Tag: The Progress Report can now be viewed with each tag in its own table with the Group by Tag option in the Filters view. This makes it easier to see how you're doing on big picture goals you're tracking with multiple sub-goals, high-level values or areas of life, like health, relationships, home or finances. Each tag has its own group go trackers with an Average Progress value and X/Y on track reporting. Tap a tag's header to collapse the table to quickly see them all.
2. Sorting: Open the Filters views from the Today or Reports tabs, then tap the Sort icon in the top right. You can sort by the Manual order you're used to or by Status, Due Time, Progress: Low to High, Progress: High to Low, or Alphabetical. You can even combine these new features and sort each tag's goals however you want.
3. Improved Trends Report: It's a lot easier to see how your goals are trending over time now! Rather than focusing on the Tracker Completion Rate, the Target and Project trackers now show the change in the report's time frame so you can quickly compare the progress you're making by week, month or year. Average trackers still show how often they were successful based on their goals, and now you can see how this week/month compares to the last one so you can keep improving. Habit trackers are now focused on how many times they were done instead of days they were moved to Done on the Today tab, which was a common request. Scrolling past the chart shows more of the new trends table now, and you can long-press to log from there too.

Goal Plan! Strides now keeps your streak and stats as you increase your goal over time so you can start small and gradually build up to keep challenging yourself...without breaking your past streak and success rate. You can also schedule future goal changes with the Goal Plan feature, so you can plan it out upfront and the app will handle the rest for you. Keep making strides!
This update also fixes sync errors.

Now when you're within 20% of your goal/pace the Progress Report will show a red-to-orange gradient bar so you know you're almost there. Just a little push and you'll be on track with a satisfying green bar. :)
It's also super easy to backlog a once a day habit now. Just add a new habit with a goal of 1 time per day and choose a date in the past and you can instantly backlog every day since then to keep your streak going without having to manually track all those days.

New Average tracker setting: Move to Done. For daily average goals you can now change from when logged to when goal is met so you can log throughout the day and it will stay due until your goal is reached. You can also consider only the last X logs, days, weeks, months or years for your average now. Rather than limiting the rolling average option to only per log goals it works with all time periods. Made a couple other formula improvements, fixed a few bugs and improved background refresh.

Plan ahead: You can now swipe the daily goals calendar to view future dates for planning your day. This update also has a ton of performance improvements to prevent crashes and make things even faster. If you spot any issues please submit a bug report through the help center so we can fix it for you quickly. The iPad app now has standard sidebar navigation and modern controls to make everything work seamlessly across all of your devices. It's easier to set your trackers to be due on weekdays or every X days, weeks, months or years now too. You might notice some performance improvements as well, and your charts will update in real-time when new data is synced from other devices. Also included a few fixes and localization improvements.

Happy New Year! One last update to round out the year and prepare for 2022.
Strides is now available in 10 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese! This update adds Traditional Chinese, and fixes a small wording issue on the habit charts.

We're keeping the momentum and releasing another new feature, only a week after the big 12.0 update: Log with Notes. For those habits that require some extra details you'd like to record for future reference with each log, enable this setting to automatically show the Notes field while logging. That'll save you the extra step of swiping left afterward.
This release also comes with an improvement to the average charts, a crash fix and a dark mode improvement.

New features: Skip and Due After Goal Met! Sometimes there's a legitimate reason you can't do your habit (like when you're sick) or log one of your goals (it's tough to log your weight when you stay in a hotel room with no scale). Now, you can swipe left and tap Skip so that tracker won't count for the day! It won't affect your Perfect Day, and none of its stats will consider the skipped date, including Reports.
For habits, you can also long-press a date in the calendar chart to log yes, log no or skip. For weekly/monthly habits, you can also enable the new Due After Goal Met option if you want to be encouraged to keep doing the habit after the goal has been met. By default a habit is hidden for the rest of the week/month after the goal is reached, but with this option you can keep seeing it, and skip without penalty if you don't want to be an overachiever. :)
This update also improved the habit add log view, and added log yes, log no and skip options when long-pressing a habit calendar date. This update also made it easier to tell which date is selected in the calendar, and comes with several fixes.

Several improvements to the Habit tracker: Now you can tap a habit's calendar to instantly log your progress on that date! This makes it extremely fast to backlog several days at once, and all the charts update in real-time. To pull that off we also made some big changes to make the habit tracker even faster. Plus, for any habits you do multiple times per day you'll now see a circle chart for each day so you know how well you've done, as opposed to just seeing whether you succeeded or not. For bad habits, the calendar's circles now default to green, and adding new Yes logs will update them to red if you go over your max for the day. Can't wait for you to see the next new feature!

History tables now show blank rows on all Due dates to make it easier to backlog. Just tap a row that says not logged to add a log with that date selected automatically.
You can also tap a date in the Habit's calendar under Charts to add a log on that date. In the next update that will add the log instantly.

Made it even easier to create custom goal & habit trackers! Choosing from four types is simpler and faster, and it looks nicer too. :)
Also improved editing tracker names and simplified deleting milestones from a project. Speaking of milestones, we've gotten lots of feedback over the years about the complexity that the Milestone Weight system adds to the experience, so we removed it in this update since it didn't add enough value to justify the extra work it took to manage. The only thing it changed was the calculation of one progress bar, and most projects are broken into similarly-weighted milestones anyway, or they can be. So, we're simplifying setup and project management. No more having to adjust all the weights after every milestones change!

We're following up the big Progress Reports feature release with a way to manage the reminders for all your goals & habits in one place (in Strides > Settings > Reminders).
Also fixed a few bugs that caused crashing, the When to Log field to show duplicate weekdays and archived trackers to stay in the Today list.
Lastly, we're encouraging anyone still using the old sync system to switch before it's phased out. Keep making strides!

Added the long-awaited Progress Reports feature! The Dashboard has evolved into Reports, which adds Average Progress and tabs for Trends (weekly, monthly & yearly), Calendar (all-time) and Rankings by Streak.
Note: We removed the old Dashboard status icons. We kept them for more than a year after the Today view was added as the primary way to log, but we had to remove them for the new Reports view. It cleans up the interface quite a bit, giving more room for your tracker names and progress bars. The majority of trackers are daily so it's easy to tell if they've been logged for the day, but if you need to check you can either (a) tap the Today tab to see what's due, or (b) use the Due Today filter at the top of the Reports view to focus on what's due. Tip: You can still swipe to log from the Reports view.
Also, every report can be filtered by tag so you can see how you're doing on your health habits, money goals, etc. It's a really powerful way to get deeper insights. Enjoy!
